Ok i'm in algebra I i am learning about graphing linear equations using standard form our class got cut short so we didnt finish the lesson, we still got homework on it and i'm really confused, if anyone could please help me i would greatly appriciate it, umm these are 2 of the problems;

6 + y = 8

4x - 2y = (-1)

Thank You sooo much!!!!!!!!

6 + y = 8
y = 2

it is a horizontal line at y = 2

4x - 2y = (-1)

when x = 0, y = 1/2
when y = 0 x = -1/4

plot those two points and connect them

you have 4 factors A(one million, -one million) B(2, one million) C(3, 3) D(4,5) Now locate the slopes bewteen any 2 factors slope between A and B m1 = (one million - (-one million))/(2-one million) = 2/one million =2 Slope between B and C m2 = (3-one million)/(3-2) = 2/one million =2 Slope between C and D m3 = (5-3)/(4-3) = 2/one million =2 Slope between D and A m4 = (5 +one million)/(4-one million) = 6/3 =2 All slopes are equivalent y +one million = 2(x -one million) = 2x -2 y = 2x - 3
