In a sense this is an on-going process of self-discovery, where in a realistic world much is lost in the way of argument, mutual misunderstandings, often-harsh judgements, prejudices, biases, and hurry, here I find people who come to share their knowledge, thoughts, ideas, feelings and viewpoint more sensibly, openly, in their own time, at their own free will with fullness of their intent and consent.
I see that there is an aspect in the mind what likes to be free but fair to the best of its capacities. I sense that since I can contribute here the way I choose, that if I am not good enough I would simply be ignored instead of being reprimanded and made to realise how wrong and useless person I might be as a consequence - I do not say that this what happens in a realistic situations all the time, or most of the time; it is just that here it is more likely to come together with people impersonally, at a higher level of the mind that in a way is like experiencing a universal being in existence.
However, what we find missing here is what we consider most in situation of direct interaction with people: the sense of personal responsibility, and quality of contribution. It is the principle that where there is freedom there must also be vital sense responsibility to safeguard freedom and to make sure it is not being misused, and eventually lost.
In this regard, therefore, I need to set my own standards for my over all conduct. I need to consolidate this experience into my life at large as objectively as I can. I need to set my own aims and objective for what I need to contribute and how I see that I could become a better person in relation to great many great people who I encounter here in this wonderful world of inquisitive minds.

Just one? Oh my, you should have given us a chance of giving more than that. I will bet there will be enough room for the funny yet meaningful answers.
I learned to be patient in reading a question thread specially if it is already crowded with answers. There I could check if I still need to answer or not. Although the bad thing is most of these questions are infested with "out of this world" answers.
How I wish I could earn more privileges like giving 10 thumbs down for those who consistently tarnish the dignity of philosophizing.

Nothing useful has been learned but I have confirmed through direct observation that the same two questions are at the heart of every question here.
What am I?
Why am I here?
The pathology exists in that the answers to these questions cannot be known yet the questions continue.

That we are not this material body, IE; Race, color, nationality, Religion, mind, intellect, senses, job, etc. We are all eternal spirit souls, part and parcel of the Supreme Soul, also known as Krishna, Allah, Jehovah, Vishnu, etc. We never die, only this mortal body dies.
This material world is not our real home, it is called Maya (illusion) and is temporary and full of misery, only one fourth of the souls come here, and the rest are enjoying blissful eternal loving relationships with our Maker named above. Those who are intelligent, take up the process of self realization (Bhakti Yoga) which gives one real peace, happiness and reality. Then at the end of life they can return to the eternal Kingdom where there is no more birth, death, old age, or disease and be eternally happy. I am so glad I know the meaning of life and how to end the cycle of repeated birth, death, old age and disease.
For info. Go to harekrishnatemple.com Read Bhagavad Gita- As it is by Bhaktivedanta Prabhupada asitis.com you can read it on line. I like you avatar.

1. Never answer insipid questions.
2. Skip bad ones.
3. Never indulge in questions that are aimless.
4. Beware of people who just ask questions just because they had some free time at coffee break or boss was on leave today.
5. Be careful when answering questions that don't make sense.

I've learned that the majority of people want to know why some suffer while others live outrageous lives. And I have learned of a few movies that touched my life, others that have confused my beliefs.

I've learned that most of the questioners are very young and there is no point in responding to their questions because they haven't yet the maturity to understand your answers.
