Do you think it is wrong not to give the answer you want to give. I mean if someone bores the pants of you, do you just a nice answer to get two points and stop a violation. And if this true are you being really true to yourself. I have a friend who does this all the time, never had a violation at the same time feels guilty, and confesses her sins to the Priest also makes me laugh.

It's not what is said, it's the words and how they're placed -- always be nice, if necessary use scientific descriptions.
Honesty is ALWAYS the best policy.

I always give the answer I think suits the question. A violation what is that I only had one and you lose a few points it's not the end of the world is it. Confess to a priest that sounds like a waste of time still whatever turns you on I suppose

If someone asks for an honest opinion then that's what they get. But as in life that can oftentimes upset someone regardless of the fact that it was what they had asked for.lol. Some people ask for opinions but in truth what they actually want is for someone to agree with them. If we were concerned about getting violations we wouldn't come onto YA at all. Even perfectly decent Q&A's receive violation notices so how is anyone to know when they will or won't get a VN. It is nice to give an honest answer without resorting to insulting the poster. If there are questions that we know will be difficult to answer politely then we avoid them altogether.

There is a big difference between "giving a completely honest answer" and being deliberately rude and insulting.

If I find that I can not give an answer that will add positively to what has already been said, or I come across a question that I feel very negative about, I CHOOSE TO NOT ANSWER AT ALL!! There is NOTHING but your own lack of feeling that would make you denigrate another person. No matter what views they are spouting.

If I find their view completely objectionable and damaging, I even go so far as to register a violation notice against them.

It doesn't cost you ANYTHING to just pass on by those questions you feel are "stupid and pointless".

First of all, you are posting in the Senior Citizen category. So
you might not realize that we are well known for our honesty
as a matter of course. We are often too honest and are
cranky about it LOL. You won't find a senior as intent on gain-
ing points, and not tell the truth in their opinion or knowlege.
We've been around alot of years, and have the experience of
having lived a relative long life and know a few things more
than the younger set from dealing with more in life. So with
that experience we often are apt to share with younger people
so that they don't make similar mistakes.

I must be a real goody goody because I don't get violations any more(not since they brought in the new system) I just answer your sometimes daft questions with as daft an answer as I can concoct (is that how you spell it, it doesn't look right) Although I curse and swear when in the company of my mates I don't do it (generally) in public and Y/A is in public, why offend people if you don't have to. I bet I get a few violations now though.

I generally post absolutely honest answers, weather people like them or not. I am always very careful to never be rude or insulting, others deserve respect.

If I find I can not post an answer that will add to what already has been posted I move on. If I find a negative, rude or impolite question I simply don’t answer. There is absolutely no need to offend others.

Should I find an objectionable question I simply move on but never report others & will not, I have found it to be time & energy consuming. I wish to say I only post technical issues no opinions need be included. I never post opinions as no one can meet all expectations.

Have a nice day.

I'm never afraid to give an honest answer, but I try to do it with the sense of dignity that's been instilled in me by years of living.

You will find that on this site there is a great deal of honesty. As Seniors, we've nothing to hide. We've been through a lot of things in this life and if we can help someone else, we'll do it.

you would be unable to get a contravention for others solutions. basically on your individual words regardless of if or no longer they be in a query or an answer. no longer basically undesirable language violated the community guidlelines that's exceedingly huge of their violates count. take a glance and you will understand what i'm conversing approximately. 0 Tolerance is the order of the day.

If I feel that my honest answer is going to be very controversial I won't answer at all. I have started typing my answer and then canceled when I thought it would probably get me in trouble. That's one of things I really like about Senior YA, not much controversy. There are a few things I have strong feelings about. Seniors for most part is fairly lighthearted.

I don't see why a completely honest answer would needs be offensive.

Seems to me there is a difference between honesty and offensiveness.

If what I read bores the pants off me, it is my boredom to deal with not to offload on the questioner.

I just dont answer. I dont write unreal stuff just for points - who's counting?

I imagine that those who cannot get grammar quite right could be young or dyslexic.

there was as sign on a church near me recently that asked

"Are you suffering from truth decay?"
