A girl from high school wrote on her blog that I was werid... How do I not care?

Like we do we care what other people think and say about us... ? What if everyone thinks I am weird...?

how do you not care? By knowing that not everyone will think that you are normal. Normal and wierdness are very relative.
By knowing that this girl has a right to her opinion and that it is just an opinion.
By knowing that when other people's opinions affect you it is only because you think there is some truth to it. So the real question is, do you think you are wierd? And then that is something you want to deal with.

Frankly i don't care if i am wierd or not. Wierd simply means different froom everyone else and I do love to stand out and be different. So if someone said i was wierd, that would be a compliment, if i gave 2 hoots what their opinion of me was, but i don't.

I guess its really painful when something as harsh as that happens, but a brave thing to do is to ask your close friends to say if they find any habit of yours unnatural, or if you're an extrovert then you can do the bravest of things by asking the girl directly (don't be serious or demanding) why she thinks you're weird. Either way, I'm sure you can pin the problem.

I think you should not go into believing that the opinions of a girl don;t matter, because she might be on to something and this could give you an excellent chance to rectify yourself or sharpen your behaviour. Good luck.

Sometimes being weird is not a bad thing. I thought I was weird in high school but nobody ostracized me. I did stuff like walk around the class with no shoes on. I would have on those socks with holes for each toe. But I had a lot of friends. She may be mad cuz u have your own style and she's just like everybody else.

I gaurantee you that more then one person will think you're weird in your life time.
I know it's not easy to not care when people say or think that about you.
But as long as you are a good person, nice to others, considerate, thoughtful and all that stuff, don't allow other people's opinion get in the way or occupy your mind for too long. It's a waste of thought.
But sometimes when the close people around us who love us tell us something negative about ourselves? Can be helpful to improve ourselves sometimes. But they are not telling you to hurt you or out of cruelty. It's cause they care.

Just be who you are whether that means you're weird or essentric =).
Don't allow people who say such comments about you to bring down your confidence or self esteem.
As well, don't allow people like that to change who you are. Why bother saying something negative about her? It's a waste of time to take the time to say something like that about anyone. Try not to let things like that occupy your thoughts cause you'll end up feeling trapped.

Unfortunately, people can be so cruel to each other. Everyday I find that the society in which we live has almost forgotton what it is to have basically good manners and to show kindness to each other. How do you 'not' care ? By returning to her what she doesn't deserve - your kindess and God's mercy. It takes a whole lot of love inside you to show to someone else when they are trying or have tried to 'dog you out'. You must learn to be the bigger person and forgive them for what they do to you. The greatest gift you can give away to someone like her - is to love her and forgive her and others will see that you have a great measure of love and faith in you.

That just another way of saying that you are unique. I would thank her. I have been in high school and know how corny people can be. You know that in the long run when you look back on this you will ask yourself why you cared what other people thought of you. I think she has a crush on you, either that or she is jealous.

How is thinking that way going to help you? It will just make you weird because you will start wondering, "Maybe I am weird". If you convince yourself enough you can actually make yourself "weird". My sister is a gorgeous, extremely bright woman with the lowest self esteem ever. All it takes is a little internal questioning to make yourself doubt your strengths and abilities. Acknowledge your strengths and think positive about yourself. Atleast you don't waste your time making other people feel bad about themselves and that makes you a better person already.

Yeah, what if somebody thinks you're weird? What if you think somebody else is weird? Maybe everybody secretly thinks everybody else is weird! Wouldn't that be weird? This is weirding me out already.
Maybe its actually completely normal to be weird, and to be weirded out about other people thinking you're weird, and to think some other people are weird. We live in a weird world, and sometimes you just have to accept some weird stuff. Wow, "weird" sure is a weird word, isn't it?

I'd be more offended if she said I was blah and just like everyone else. It's ok to be weird, most people are in some way.

WHy do you really care? Are you that insecure? Maybe you think she is weird.....matter of opinion. Lots of people will say and think lots of things in life, learn to get past worrying about stuff like this.
