I mean, I am the only lefty in my family (even my extended family) and I am the only one that is original and/or artistic in any way...
Are there any scientific studies or anything that show lefties as being more creative?
And I'm not trying to offend anyone, I'm just curious as to see if this is just a coincidence...

It is said that your right side of your brain controls the left side of your body and the left brain controls the right. Since the right side of the brain is also linked to creativity, it seems logical that if you use your left hand instinctually, you are right brain dominant and thus more creative than most. However, studies have shown that hand dominance is not directly related to brain dominance, but they also show that most people that are left handed are right brain dominant. So it's not for certain, but there does seem to be a strong correlation. I guess there are just a lot of outside factors that one has to take into consideration.

I heard that too. I seem to think they are just as creative as the righties. I know lefties and they are not that creative.

As there are ten times as many "righties" as "lefties", the "lefties" would have to have ten times as many creative people. Creativity isn't controlled by that. I'm right-handed, and am extremely creative.

But there has been scientific studies that have shown this because lefties use more of their right brain.
It shouldn't be hard to find online.

I don't know about that. My brother is left handed and I'm right handed but he couldn't paint a paint by numbers set!! Myself, I could paint a mural without the numbers. I think it's all in the individual.

I am right handed though. And I very creative too. But, I think it all depends on the person's interests as to how creative they are.

All I know is that on average, right-handed people tend to live 10 years longer than left-handed people.
