I am the step Mother of a 23 year old boy with Autism. I have seen the puzzle ribbon magnets and I would love to make a afghan just like that. Does anyone have a crochet pattern? Or do you know where I can get one?

I really like the Lion Brand pattern from the pp.

I checked Crochet Pattern Central (link below) and couldn't find anything that was specific to Autism. Perhaps you could crochet the ribbons and attach them to squares. You could make the ribbons multi-colored and attach them to squares made from his favorite color.

Hope that helps!

I can't seem to find one like that, but what you possibly could do would be to make an afghan incorporating the colors from the magnets a random order. It would be your own little twist on the magnets

Here's a perfect one from Lion. You do have to be registered in order to see it, but it's free. You may want to check with your guy and find out if yellow hurts his eyes, and if it does, swap that out for something else.

I'm sure you don't really think he's still a boy?
