yes, in some countries ( in Europe, that I know for sure) coal is used to cure bad stomach aches, and blouding. It is not consumed directly, but is cleaned, grounded into powder, and then pressed into tablets. Im from Ukraine, and I remember my mom giving me coal tablets when I had bad stomach aches....dunno how, but it helped!

no, but coal can be used. coal is made of a natural dark brown to black graphitelike material used as a fuel, formed from fossilized plants and consisting of amorphous carbon with various organic and some inorganic compounds, so it can't be healthy.

The only time i've heard of people eating coal is when they needed to force themselves to throw-up to get a toxin out of their stomach before it reached the bloodstream.

Only Coal candy. I live in the coal region and they make a candy that looks like coal and it tastes like licorise...Its good! but as for real Coal...Its tasteless so why bother eating it...I don;t think it would hurt you but it won't do any good except give you indigestion.
