If allowed to dry. they only remove the finish. You must rewax ASAP to prevent the sun from damaging the paint.

Bird Droppings, Acid rain, Battery Acid splatter in a collision or battery explosion, sun damage, touch type car-washes.

I dont know about egg but bird poo, bugs, sun, hard rain, salt, small rocks, dirt, oil, brake fluid, road tar are a few common things.
