Not the core. A cat desires, but has very little imagination. I think the core of desire is need. You may not know what that need is, but you have the need and so you desire its fulfillment.

This leads a lot of people to act in a lot of strange ways as they cast about trying to fulfill a desire they don't even understand.

There's many things I desire that at the moment I'm left to only use my imagination on since they can't happen till I otain the money for or discover how to obtain without. One thing is stuck in my imagination from age 5 til this day something that I fear may never be obtianed before I die.

Never thought of it that way before… interesting… nah your calling the hand holding the gun the killer, when it is the person who’s arm it is that is the real killer. Not even a human any more scary. Anyways thinks the core of desire is feelings. Good ones for the most part, and wanting more of them. If our dreams can produce these feelings what is wrong with that? Until we’re lost in our dreams and never in reality ok well… anyways good feelings for you and yours.

I think that the main source of our desires is the environment, we envy people that have what we don't. Maybe from imagination comes only the good part of desires.

Ooooh yes! I love daydreaming about how wonderful and sensual a sexual encounter will be with whoever has taken my fancy. Going over and over and adding bits and taking away bits (clothes mainly!!). I have a phenomenally vivid imagination and use it in most areas of my life. No imagination would be such a curse!!

Absolutly!!! Have you ever talked to anyone who really did have NO imagination... they have the personality of a stale saltine... most likely because they have no desire to do more with themselves.
