Although I've never seen the show, The Jupiter Mining Corportation is featured in the TV series "Red Dwarf". Not having seen the show, I have no way to know whether I'd sign up, although given the choice of Star Fleet and some mining outfit, I'd go with Star Fleet. Beam me up.

The Jupiter Mining Company cannot exist.

Jupiter is a gas planet with no solid crust at the surface. Any
landing there is impossible because the landing object sinks to the core of the planet where it is intensely hot. Neptune and Uranus are also gas planets.
