broke up with a boyfriend which they didnt like... because i still believe and respect the intuition of parents... and a few months after the breakup, i realized i just did the right thing and i thought then it was the best decision i ever made...

I believe in giving, especially around the holidays, so I've taught my kids to give to those in need. My husband is a retired Marine, so we are big with Toys For Tots. A chain toy store was going out of business, so we went there and bought a whole cart full of toys to donate. My mom keeps a large Toys For Tots box in her garage and each year we fill it to the top. We've donated food to our local Salvation Army for Thanksgiving and my son used to go around our neighborhood for canned food collections for his school. We also donate food and blankets to our local animal shelter since I love dogs. A couple of years I arranged for my co-workers to adopt families to buy gifts for. There was one specific family my dad told me about and we personally delivered the gifts to them. The father just lost his job, so it was very touching to be able to do this for someone you don't even know. My husband always has my daughter put a dollar in the kettles during the holidays too, no matter how many kettles we pass.

I gave each of them a life filled with love and they are passing that on to their families as well as all of our recipes that we love and share! We have great faith and respect for each other and those around us, our family works to help the less fortunate and get great comfort from that.
