Invite your relatives to do things with you and the kids. Spend time with your kids and relatives at the same time. Schedule activities for all of you, like picnics, a trip to the park. A camera is a great idea, take pictures of kids and relatives and post them on the refrigerator so when your relatives are over at your place they will see that they know you are busy with your kids but seeing the pictures they also know that you care about them by having the pictures up.

I only have one little boy and he is 5 months and by the time i get done at work, fix supper and on weekends go shopping because i cant during the weekend it is very hard for me to do anything but stay home or sleep when i can.
My grandmother wanted to see her great grandson, I had to plan it 3 weeks out and make myself go. I can only try to imagine with 4 kids. My only advice, If you try to plan ahead a couple of weeks if possible, let your kids know so they know also. If you make a date ahead of time you can normally keep it. But don't lose heart, believe me sometimes i feel like I am ignoring my family, but they understand also if you cant come over every week.

I bring up the cost factor of raising children and also possible health risks whenever others bring up the issue of having more than one child. I currently don't have any children and can't see myself having more than one, especially with my career. I may have misunderstood your question, regarding spending time with other relatives vs. not having time to have more children?
