In the Navy, we all had PMS: Preventive Maintenance System! (Gotchyer attention for a sec, huh?!) You keep it up to tip-top shape so it Won't go out on you.
This can be applied to anything and everything. From your car, to your computer, and even your personal hygene (i.e. grooming, bathing, clipping your nails, eliminating ear, belly-button, and toe punk, etc.!)
