Heck....they just close shop here.....and then open A cell phone place for minimum wage and consider that progress.

Oh my county always has layoffs everywhere. Getting a simple, crappy, low paying job here would be like trying to get an acting job in Hollywood, or CEO of a fortune 500 company :( It's sad, in my town you can be turned down by McDonalds and other fast food places.

Yes a lot of layoffs but not all related to oil prices.

Not yet. There are several refineries in my city and they have been hiring a lot of new people and doing a lot of expansion and upgrades on the plants. My neighbor works at one of the refineries and the money he makes is outrageous!

We have some "Dislocation"from the fuel prices but nothing major, Besides we have telemarketing jobs all the time, we have some huge telemarketers.

Not that I know of here---though in this neck of the woods, it is comprised primarily of silicone valley type IT and engineer types or federal government workers.
