That depends on the type of job I am a it student i want to retire from it job at the age of 42 but no retirement from learning and love

Never. But I did quit working when I was around 49 to trade stocks, which I hope I'll have the brain cells left to do for the rest of my life. And I do plan on getting some sort of part time job sooner or later, just to get on a health insurance plan and to get me away from the computer looking at the stock market and answering questions on yahoo. lol. :>))
My Dad retired, closed his eye doctoring business, last December. He was 85 at the time. There's really no point in retiring, unless you are in the middle of society where you have worked for other people or a company all of your life, and will get a really good retirement package. But even then it's really not good to totally retire. I think that's why we see lots of older people still working, possibly only at part time jobs. But I know one lady, who seems to be very happy, who is still waiting tables at age 75. And she's the best server in the cafe! Everyone loves her, not only because of her personality, but she's also great at her job.

At 55 we sell the CA house and use the equity to buy a smaller house in either Spokan or Portland or another West coast town known for more modest living expenses.
The we start the second half...a little work, much more play!!

no I'm 19 working a full time job and being a wife lol...........the last thing (being a wife) wouldn't want to retire from that ever
