with the lower supply of cash and greater demand for money, prices would increase for certain items. I'd buy tradeable items, i.e. non-perishables, canned goods, gasoline, cigarettes, gold, etc. (similar to the hyper-inflation countries)
the first few days would be okay, people thinking this is temporary, but if nothing changes after the first week, those who were prepared to barter are better off. there would be major unrest and rioting/panic response for those less prepared... after two weeks, if nothing changes, groups and alliances will be formed, these local tribes will try to pool together whatever resources they have, trusting one another but careful to defend their own territories/property.
Week three will be a major test. Settling territorial disputes, building relationships with other tribes, finding a common currency for trade, etc.
If we can get through week three, things will be tough, but we can survive. if not, there will be all-out civil war, terrorist attacks, and something similar to current day iraq...

I'd survive for a while. With the limited withdrawals, I'd set a budget and live off what I was given to live off of. Its a very broad question you are asking, but in general, most people would survive within the guidelines they were forced to live in.

It won't happen. The world turns on money & those with it control it. They need to keep things going or they loose their control, & their money.
While many will suffer, most will just bite the bullet & live with the changes. Just a bit worse off.

I would probably do fine. Guess I'd have to dig up the cash buried in cans in the back yard. Seriously though it would be tough and would be like going through the great depression again.
