As regards mathematical problems put by students seeking solution I have to make a request to all.

Never give full solution. Many children ask questions expected to be solved by them only. In fact they avoid the labour required for a solution. Perhaps they are not aware that they are harming their learning process.

So if I give a full solution to a problem that is not a learning process? Your right any student can post their entire assignment on here have it completed with the work. They can then copy everything down and hand it in. As that students teacher it would seem a miss if a student was to hand in a paper like that. First because the student probably didn't know what they were doing. So it would be amazing that the student completed the assignment. Don't you think it is the teacher's responsiblity to explain the mathematical process so that students understand how to do the problems? Second if a student was to do all his or her homework here how would their tests look? Wouldn't that student figure out that this is not working. And their laziness has caused them to fail.

Yahoo answers can be used as learning tool. Students can post problems in which they are stuck, see a complete and correct method to solve and the solution. Now it is the students responsiblity to use that problem to learn. See how it was done what the steps were then learn how to do the problem.
If a students wants to go online and do his or her homework that is their own business. It will always be the teachers responsiblity to get each student the opportunity to learn. The students responsiblity is to learn the material. Teachers should know that any student can get the answer to any problem using the internet but most of the websites just like this one the student has to understand what is being done, the process and the steps.
Parents and Teachers alike need to instill a love for learning in their childern and students. Then sites like this one would be praised because they benefit the learning process. Not hounds because the give out the answers.

Huh?

Your request implies that the problem they need help with is the only problem of it's type they will ever need to solve. We assume (hope??) that the student will try to apply the solution to other similar problems. We also assume that their textbook did not have the clarity needed for proper understanding of the particular problem.

While you're at it, why don't you also request that the textbook publisher not print out the complete solution to sample problems?

If a student asks for solutions to an entire series of similar problems, then you have a valid point. IMO, that student is too lazy and/or stupid to continue existence on this planet.

I appreciate facts you have stated and I know that elders should look at matters you have stated!

I request you to have a look at a question where more than ten answers are given by people who are good at Mathematics.

You will definitely faint by looking at different answers!

Please bear with present status! Best utility is not "answers" but a freedom to ask questions. Let students have that freedom!

"Answer" involves competition and an answerer has to face many tests before he/she is declared a best answerer!

A half answer is not regarded a best answer!

However, you may directly discuss this matter with "Yahoo! Answers".

Your concern is simple and honest!

Regards!

Probably not.It is a help.If there are 5 questions,I solve 1 or 2 & ask them to solve others on those lines.I do this to share my knowledge(Ihave a Master's degree) & tell them shortcuts, which they may not get in class.Who has time for this young generation,now-a-days,in this world.Anybody can stand up & talk like that, just be in their place & THINK.

It might help to give a full solution to a different problem or set of problems that are analogous. Also, it would probably help them a lot if there were more details discussions of how to read and interpret word problems in math, chemistry and physics.

You are somewhat true. But some answers given so explanatory that the student get the idea of solving the sum clear. This sort of explanations they do not get in the school.

This is true. As an educator myself, anytime I assign my class a homework assignment, I come onto here to see if any of my questions pop-up. Suprisingly I never see any, but that may be because a lot of college level questions go too far above the general audience of Yahoo Answers.
