I am trying to take the head (picture) of someone and put it on another picture. I already figured out how to take the second head (pic) out. I know I need lessons on this but I would appreciate assistance on this one thing. Thanks!

You don't really need to take the second head out, as Photoshop uses Layers to create images. When you copy and paste in the second head, it creates it's own layer above the original, thus obscuring the other head.

Use the lasso tool to encircle the head you want. Click Edit - Copy. Then move to the second picture and click Edit - Paste. You will see the new head, plus a bit of the other picture's background pasted into the new pic as a new layer.

Now, once the second head is in it's own layer, use a LAYER MASK and paint out (using black) the parts you don't want. Be brutal on edges, as a light edge (called a Halo) will make your new added piece seem poor quality.

Then simply adjust for contrast and brightness to brring the two togheter.
