What does it mean to liquidate your stocks?

To sell it. To be liquid means to hold cash... so to liquidate your stock means to turn it into cash. Liquidation however implies more then just selling, it implies that you are selling quickly because you want to immediately hold cash vs equities.

Liquidating something means exchanging the asset for cash. As previously stated if you liquidate your stocks you sell them. You also hear a company 'go liquid' when they want to make an acquisition. This means collecting their A/R and holding the cash, selling assets and holding the cash, etc.

It means to sell all the share you have in your Demate acc. Or Intraday.
