I am sure you have seen the picture where Obama abstains from holding his hand to his heart during the pledge of allegiance and national anthem. Clearly anyone who does not pledge his allegiance the country he is trying to become president of, is not loyal to the constitution either.

I am surprised with all the bashing, the race card was not pulled out. Democrats will ignore the truth, to support their ideology. Repugnant.

I went to a football game last weekend. Many there not only abstained from putting their hand over their hearts, many abstained from shutting their mouths and a few abstained from STANDING.

Don't read more into the photo than it deserves. Wrapping oneself in the symbols of democracy is not the same as being devoted to actual democracy. I saw a photo of Nixon with his hand on his heart, yet few American presidents had less respect for the institutions of America than he did. I'd rather have a person with honest reservations than a dishonest person with all the "right" moves.

I don't know enough about Obama to make a fact-driven determination yet. I suspect you don't, either.

A picture is a second frozen in time. It was the moment just before the national anthem started. Not during the Pledge of Allegiance. But believe what you like....

There are many reasons not to support Obama. I think you should do some research and find out what he stands for. Basing a vote for President off of a picture is pretty uninformed.

Its the national anthem...not the pledge of allegiance...most people just stand for the national anthem, unless you are military.

why would anyone expect someone who was raised in another country give us his allegiance?

He might have been born in Hawaii but he did not spend his formative years in any US state.

He was in Indonesia.
He comes back to Hawaii for high school.....to a private high school, were he is a popular star athlete.
Then writes a book about how painful it was.
I've got news for him.... all teenagers are in pain. It's their natural state.

There goes freedom.

Obama is a good guy. Stop trashing him over nonsense.

You don't know the story. You weren't there. You may not agree with his choice but it's not really about you. I'm sure everyone could start nitpicking at you. Do you litter? Do you throw cigarette butts out your car window? Do you look for ways to cheat on your taxes? It's all relative.

He is running for President and deserves some respect for putting himself out there. You don't have to agree with him or vote for him. But this is incredibly unfair. I think you are wrong.
I like Obama. He's not my guy for President but I like him.

Where is it written in the constitution that it is REQUIRED to place your hand over your heart when saying the pledge? Where does it say we must wear "flag pins" on our lapels? I thought this was America, where we had choices on these things. Just because he doesn't do things YOUR way, doesn't make him unAmerican and it doesn't mean he's not loyal to the constitution.

it was only during the National Anthem it was only that particular time, normally he does

anyways, do you always do it at sporting events or are you too busy eating your nachos and swilling beer to notice everyone else is standing up?
