The problem isn't the taxes so much as irresponsible spending by the government.
The gas tax should be supporting the highways and the roads. If people weren't trying to circumvent the process then maybe we would have the need for less taxes.
Let's focus on the real issues and problems that need to be addressed. Can we focus on the facts? Forget about your stupid judgments that you can't really back up because you don't really know (people lie.).
Does it bother you when the super rich do whatever they need to do to get their kid into Harvard? They will have them diagnosed with ADHD to do it. They know no limits. All of this has a serious impact. It means that some kid who's worked very hard and played by the rules won't get in. There are only so many spots available. This can be replicated to other areas.

First you would have to ferret out the particular taxes that support lib agendas from those that support con agendas. That, I'm afraid would be an impossible task and you would take so long doing it and spend so much working it out that you would have to raise the gas tax to cover the costs.

I have never heard highway & transportation programs described as a "liberal agenda" by a sane person. And I believe it was something Eisenhower was pretty big on (that notorious liberal) even though Al Gore Sr. led the charge in Congress.

Federal gas taxes are .19 cents a gallon. OPEC and Exxon can move prices more than that in an hour. It was the conservative agenda that shot down legislation to fine gouging by both.

You mean the gas taxes that keep the roads paved and the American infrastructure mantained? I would be fine with it. I enjoy using my truck's four wheel drive...might cause a problem for the majority of Americans, though.

Obvious "NO". Best time for all Americans were the years of Bill Clinton and still have the ignorant complain. No, all will not be happy, its their nature to be negative about good.
