Ok, I heard a story yesterday that malls are putting a weight limit on those who can play Santa Claus and that Santa is, apparently, getting a whole new look. He's going on a diet, getting a new outfit, etc. The new message for kids being "Santa lost weight and you can too." WTF????!!!!! Are we supposed to leave non-fat yogurt or, perhaps, soylent green out for Santa this year?

I guess the point of the question is to ask "is this really necessary?" I'm only 24 and I remember stuffing myself with candy, cakes, pies and anything else that featured high quantities of sugar and butter and never got fat, was never unhealthy. Maybe it's because it's not the food or the images but the lifestyles that we've adopted. I didn't sit in front o the tv or in front of a computer after I was finished stuffing myself. I went outside and ran around playing with my friends all day. Why are we stealing childhood and forcing our cynicism and screwed up attitudes onto innocent children?

If you have nothing nice to say, kindly restrict your comments to the weather. That was Erica, not me.

Jesus represents Christmas. Santa Claus is just a commercial aspect of the holiday used to get parents to buy toys for their kids. There will always be a Christmas. It's December 25th every year.

No, just healthier eating and exercise habits. The Pillsbury Dough Boy, Betty Crocker, Aunt Jemima, Goodyear Tire Man, Campbell's Soup Kids, etc., have gone through similar make-overs to look more modern and healthier. :D

I think its ridiculous. Its like the Christmas tree is now a "Holiday tree"...what the hell????
Seems we have to analyze, scrutinize, everything these days. Pretty soon we will end up destroying all the joy that is Christmas for kids. We sure live in wierd times.

Since I never did get the smell of vomit off of my Teddy Rux, perhaps taking away your ability to stuff yourself isn't such a bad idea, biatch.
