Israel is a law unto itself. They do not care about the plight of the Palestinians. They do not care about peace. All they care about is themselves. What we all need to understand is that until there is a peaceful solution in Palestine there will be no peace for the rest of us. The world needs to start putting REAL pressure on Israel NOW

Israel is technically a sovereign nation and the only ones who can interfere are on the UN security council. The US vetoes all action to be made against Israel for their human rights violations and other violations of UN resolutions. Why does the US do this? AIPAC. They were named the most powerful lobby in America (by Forbes I think). They even pay off out presidential candidates. Obama was pro Palestine til AIPAC paid him off.... sigh.... money talks.

Oh and to the guy above me..... These are massive settlements being built between Palestinian villages so that these villagers can not leave their villages at all since roads surrounding these settlements are blocked to them.
Also terrorism? Ever heard of Irgun? How about the Israeli groups that want to tear down the church of the holy sepulchr in Jerusalem to rebuild their temple? Read about the Deir Yassin Massacre. And Jews against Israel.

Watch Occupation 101 for more info on the settlements and the US entanglement, etc. Such as the 7 million dollars a day we send them...

I can't see anything ever changing. As long as America support Israel they are allowed to do whatever they want no matter what the consequences. The Palestinians are ignored and then people wonder why there is so much unrest in the world. It is time to make Israel stop before it is too late.

I don't suppose anything will be done until there is another
6 day war.
It's wrong and the settlements shouldn't be there, it was agreed on
once and they were in part removed.
You do wonder, because if any other country did this world leaders
would be up in arms.
How do you sort out this situation, so many agrieved people and so
many displaced people hanging on, and everyone thinking they are in the right.

So, basically things like building a couple of extra houses and apartments down an extra road in a Jewish settlement that does not displace a single Arab nor is it on land owned by Arabs is viewed as something dangerous and threatening to the "peace process". But things like actual terrorism... I guess that doesn't really bother you.

Because it is the policy of the USA to ensure the future of Israel, and the fear of economic prosperity of the Palestinian people. This is my opinion and it is only mine. The oppression of the Palestinian will only result in more bloodshed on both sides, the Palestians are hungry, poor and without basic facilities, the Israelis have taken the best land and confine them to the less fertile land areas. It is a disgrace but as Israel has a nuclear capability the USA keeps them on side.

because its the root cause of terrorism, and the govt dont want the terrorists to stop, because how else would all the arms companies they have shares in keep making record profits?

What excuse would they have to invade random oil rich countries?

What excuse would they have to introduce draconian laws that infringe on our civil liberties?

US govt scared of the Jewish lobby

UK govt scared of America

EU scared of everyone
