hey is there any kind of battery i can buy for this laptop that has like 5/6 hour+ battery life???

There might be, check the Dell web site and see if there are any gigantic batteries available for it.
Though if your computer is a few years old (I'm not sure how old the Inspiron 6000 is) you'll probably end up with 'new' old stock which is likely to have aged to the point of near uselessness already and so might not actually be an improvement on what you've got.
Li-Ion battery aging takes place whether the battery is used or not though storing the battery at about 40% charge and in the fridge slows it down.
