Limited techs are not able to do many exams that a registered rad tech does. I don't know the pay difference, but I suspect it is significant. Employers do not want to hire someone who can't do what they require. I have worked at 5 hospitals and have never met a limited tech because they only hire registered techs. Your job prospects are limited to probably podiatrist offices and places like that. I don't recommend it.

I dont know the answer because I never heard of limited licensure. My mother is a manager of a radiology dept. Her employees come out of college (2 ys) and make something like $19.50/hr to start and still whine as much, actually more, as minimum wage ditch diggers
