A very informative article, and goes to the fact, that all teams, do what they need to do, to win. I've said all along, that NO TEAM has clean hands, that they all do something, or try to do something to gain an edge.
That being said, it will not change the attitudes of those, who want to hate, and dredge up the past. They need all the excuses they can muster, to deny in their minds, that the Patriots are a great team.
With all the scrutiny, the Patriots are under, since the camera incident in September. There is NO WAY they can be cheating, every move is under a microscope. Which is more, than I can say for other teams.

The similarity between how Shula came to the Dolphins and the Spygate incident in relation to any perfect seasons is that it's a non-issue. What the Dolphins did to obtain Shula in 1969 had no bearing on the 1972 season other than Shula became their coach, but it could be argued the Dolphins could have obtained Shula in a way that was not deemed inappropriate by the NFL. What the Patriots did has no bearing on the outcome of this season. Bellichick may be arrogant but he's not a complete idiot. I would be extremely surprised if he's filming signals considering the scrutiny the team is under.
So for Shula to say THIS season is tainted, I think that's unlikely. But I understand that if the record is going to be broken, he wants it to be done in an unquestionable fashion. And I do agree with him that the NFL destroying the tapes does look like there was something to cover up, however that doesn't mean there is something to cover up. And either way, it's ridiculous to punish the Pats because the NFL behaved suspiciously.
That being said, I've never liked the Pats. I've always found Bellichick to be of questionable character. I respect the talent they have and what they can do on the field, but I don't like them, never have, never will. There isn't anything the team can do or the fans can say to change that.

i do no longer likely understand what the hoopla is all approximately. Randy Moss never helped the Patriots win any great Bowls, they gained all 3 of them in the previous he have been given there and lost one with him, and he never helped the Vikings win one while he grew to become into there, heck, they did no longer even make it to a minimum of one. sure, he's in all likelihood the terrific receiver to play the sport after Jerry Rice, and for optimistic a corridor of famer, yet call me outdated trend, great Bowls are gained by making use of communities, no longer gamers. seem at Denver, they never extremely gained a great Bowl with Elway till they have been given him the protection and the helping forged to get it performed. only seem at any great Bowl triumphing team and you will locate an entire set of customarily stable gamers with some great one and a few others no longer so great that took that team each and each of ways. The Patriots would be advantageous. And if the Vikings make it, it only isn't because of the fact of Randy Moss, it is going to be a team attempt.

Everyone was willing to laugh and let spygate go and reveal the Patriots weaknesses, because the Big Bad Chargers were coming to town the week after and the Patriots balloon had burst and the Chargers were going to show them how to play fair and square and the myth of the Patriots superiority would be debunked with a mediocre season without cameras.
But something funny happened on the way to their mediocre season, they got better and the started bashing every team in the nation. So now, the Patriot haters had to reevaluate their position and continually draw at straws that were no longer there. As any independent and objective person knows, this year can't possibly be tainted, but keep up your hating I like to identify Patriot haters and laugh at them each and every week. Enjoy your misery!!!!

This tape was from the first half of the first quarter of the first game of the season. It was intercepted before the Pats even got word of anything on it. No advantage was made, just severe embaressment.
Enough already. This is in no way responsible for the Pats' record this year. No one would be talking about this if they weren't playing so well, but the other teams like to whine and point fingers. Shula is grumpy because the Dolphins' record might get blown. Boo-hoo. This is what happens in sports--records get broken. That's why we love to watch.

People need to let the camera thing go? It was one game? If they were using the camera when they won their first SB. As you start building a dynasty it makes it easier for a team to sign the player that they really for less money. The years they were in the dump how many Moss' were they able to trade for and get the player to take a pay cut. Boston has ESPN locked up and whatever direction they go the rest of the media world reports that way. THEY'RE THE BARRY BONDS OF FOOTBALL.

I'd love to hear a reporter ask Shula about it! Especially after the Pats win out. I wonder what he'll say? Probably nothing.

What gets me, honestly and I dont mean about you specifically, but Cowboys fans who complain about this need to know according to Jimmy Johnson himself, the Cowboys did the exact same thing that Bill Belichick was caught doing at spygate. So to me its just an issue of a team breaking the rules, getting punished which they should have gotten punished, but not an uncommon event.

Shula is a fool for opening his mouth. What about steroid use by the Dolphins of 72? What about the fact they only played a 14 game regular season? Should that effect the way we view the 72 Dolphins, no it shouldn't.

I already read that yesterday...People really need to let the camera thing go...including Shula...Unsportsmanlike?...
Definitely
...But Belichick is still a great coach...and I wouldn't want anyone else coaching the Pats...It was one game...against a rebel former assistant coach...People seem to forget that...Yes, Patriot haters...One game...Obviously you don't know the history between Belichick and Mangini...(Jets coach)...
