This has happened to me SO many times.

I usually say "I hate to say this, but I've got to get up early tomorrow. Thanks for coming over, though."

Usually my husband is there too, though, and if they are mutual friends or his friends I just say "I'm going to bed! Goodnight!"

NOBODY gets in the way of MY sleep. Seriously. Kick their butts out.

If we are really close I let them know I want to sleep. If not I just yawn alot and hope they take a hint.

give lots of hints, and if they still stay i tell them i'm really tired, and don't mean to be rude, but i'm going to bed!

if they lived miles away then i would tell them to stay the night but to keep the noise down as i am going to bed myself.
i would tell them to leave if i was very tired,they would understand.
