I have not done it, but I have seen people training for it and have followed the news about the march carefully because of that.

Last couple of years they had a restricted number of participants. So if you have not entered yet, make sure you know how to enter and when.

It will be 4 days of hard walking, starting out in the early morning hours and coming back in the early afternoon, while the whole town has parties and music festivals going.
The terrain is not really flat, as they use the hills in the area. Nothing for people used to mountains, but the combination of flat, open stretches on one day and the rolling hills, going up and down all the time on an other is a bit of a challenge.
And you will be walking in a big throng of people much of the time, not always able to walk your own speed.
You are aware that the rules forbid running?

Weather is rather unpredictable, it can be raining cats and dogs for the whole four days, with a storm tossed in for excitement, or it can be hot and sunny, and sun strokes are the most of a problem.
So rain-gear and water bottles are a must, a hat is useful and a team to get your food and water to you is also very much appreciated when you walk.

If you have not yet arranged a place to stay during the event, get it done soon, as it is an enormous popular event, with many spectators coming in to support the walkers and go to the festivals at night.

And check the distance your age-group/gender needs to walk to be recognized, and to get the offical remembrance 'cross'.
