No any job where the members are aloud to Vote fo theyre own pay raises cannot possibly be under paid.

And its all about the Fringe Benefits like knowing which companies to buy stock in and being able to award contracting jobs, and having a Tax Payer Financed Jet to fly Around In. It must be SO MUCH FUN !

Most have made a decent salary before deciding to go into politics and I think they are fairly paid. Most end up back in the private sector, and do very well for themselves, because of there experience and political contacts.

underpaid? well, they could always get a real job. salaries might be lower in public service(more like serving themselves), but the benefits are pretty good. they always complain about union workers benefits, but the political old boy networks are the strongest around.

If I ever come back in another life I'm going to become a bureaucrat! They are so overpaid it's shameful! And their retirement programs are unbelievable!!!
