The Aquarian age is supposed to be an age of spiritual enlightenment whereby universal truth, (not man made truth) was to come to the fore. It may have happened but humans being what they are have not allowed it to enter their tiny little minds because they would not be able to handle it.
2012 is the year some say the world will end, and there may be some evidence for this. So hold onto your hat.

I think astronomy is an ok section for your question
2012 could be when the dark star (planet X) is closest to earth,
(if) this is the case its predicted it could cause anything from a polar shift to a cataclysm.
