yes they treat me here not as a king.... but as a Sheik (the Arabic sense of it as a prince) lol
seriously , People here treat others based on their work, manners and also wealth,,,but what is good here really, that everyone is treated well till prove the opposite to the previous mentioned,,(there is very few exceptions by some racist looser ,, but really very few)....
edit: The Netherlands ; Europe,, to add: The French love the Egyptian culture, they will like Egyptians , The dutch and Belgians like the Egyptians for 2 reasons, ,: They always go to the red sea, and there are very few Egyptians here (so no problems from them)..One more reason in this part of the world , they have lots of problems from Moroccans, Algerians they will like anyone else than them ,,The Americans will like Egyptians but not in Newyork (lots of egyptian loosers there)...Guinea , west Africa, adore the Egyptians and for them we are really kings (lots of aid from Egypt medical , educational and religious )..South Africa,,neutral... Turk look down to the Egyptians, most of the Arab countries also,, Italians are really afraid of Egyptians as crocks, Greek , feel that we are like them (they do not mind us), Finland, Germany, Sweden Denemark : neutral and they value the person one by one...regardless his race..
Now Morocco, adore the Egyptians why? Lots of Egyptian movies and Tv program there, for moroccan females , all egyptian men are Roshdy Abazah and Salah Kabeel, (they love them),, and for moroccan Males , all Egyptian men are Fared SHawky and Mahmoud el Meligy (they are afraid of us..lol)
-----
To be honest : the worst treatment I have is always in Cairo airport when I arrive,, my name is very common in Egypt , so they check me manytimes,, beside that , they treat me as if I am a criminal till proves the opposite (which against the world wide rule that we are innocent till proves the opposite)
-----------------
@AA: it is not the Muslims nor Copts, It is the Egyptian character or lets say the eastern character esp in the old communist countries, If you give little authorities to -no one -person, he/she makes sure to use it and abuse others who might be higher than him/her ,,I saw the same in Russia , Romania...Lots of Egyptians do not know that who abuse them when they ask for a visa from an European embassy in Cairo.are actually the little Egyptians working there, they take the instruction and misuse them just to abuse the other Egyptians. It is funny that even the Egyptian private security crews who are hired by lots of embassies in Cairo , act as if they are diplomats and abuse professors , doctors and others who wait on line ,in front of them,,,,,
who put them in position: well as I mentioned they are there with instruction and they misuse these instructors, and the diplomats are in Egypt most probably as a punishment for something they did in (as I mentioned before in one answer), so they really do not care , it is funny as I am also mistreated when I visit our embassy here to do something, by our own people lol

OK YA HILTON DREAMS SHARM AND HILTON TABA I WILL SHAME YOU BOTH.
Dear Egyptians take my word for it never to use these hotels not even for honey moon or even tell friends so that they dont use either. It doesnt matter how much money that you have from these two hotels you will recieve less of a service than others.
I complained in writing to the manager (who was a British Guy) 5 years ago that Egyptians were not treated as well in these hotels and last week my Husband was staying in Hilton Dreams Sharm El Sheikh (there was no where else, all were fully booked apart from this hotel of this standard) and still he told me it didnt change at all, Egyptians are still treated second class- If you looked at my husband you would know he has money from the way he is dressed, the way he acts, the way he speaks (plus the price of the rooms is not cheap!), but i swear to you guys dont give these people your money-
We should set up a internet site to shame all the services in Egypt and the places that dont treat Egyptians with the same respect- try getting a waiter to come and serve you in TGI Fridays when it is full of Arabs in the summer- It would be quicker to go into the place of the chef and cook your own and bring your own drinks and even to make your own Shisha- Rant over this issue boils my blood!
After my blood cooled i understood i hadnt answered your question well we live in London and we have alot of Egyptians from all classes in our social network and all are doing very well here this is a system of you work. Thats why we have a mass of Egyptian doctors here Magdi Yacob being the most famous. Look at the money Al fayed has made and this man is the biggest vulgar walking. We have the novelist Adaf Soueif
No person wants to be treated like a king just an an equal or equal worth
@zoser 100% agree with you in all that you said
ok i have to rant in it out -sorry guys- British Airways the managment in Egypt treat Egyptian like -----bleeeepppp if there is a problem notice they employee Coptic Egyptians in the high jobs Go to the customer services desks and see who is the managment.
The Airport can be a pain -for all of the reasons @zoser and hasafer agreed 100%. For god sake we just want to come and go...
Some staff in the AUC- forget they are Egyptians themself- trying asking them to do their job and see what happens...
Speak in English when ordering your takeaway food over the phone- i.e when you call Mc Donalds and so on select to speak English instead of Arabic- they will add extra to your order last time i ended up with 20 sachets of ketcup instead of one just because they feel they need to kiss butt they always call later and ask Madam how was your food, was everything ok! Order in Arabic see if you get the same customer service....and extra food!
----
@ zoser i agree, but who puts these certain people into the positions?

i haven't traveled outside Egypt..but everyday i read in the paper stories about Egyptians mistreated in Jordan and Yemen and other places....
honestly u can't deny Egyptians are more welcomed in Europe(specially Greece and France) more than they are in any other Arabic country...
a day ago i was talking to somebody he was telling me that his friends(won;t say nationality) always make fun of egyptians and they say that they are beggers and they are rude and their wives beat the hell outta them!! lol
of course u can't generalize it on all countries or all the ppl from the country but still,u can't deny that there are some places where egyptians are not welcomed..
quoting from the book ''taxi''...allah yer7am ayam el sadat,he really was taking care of egyptians ''awlado'' everywhere...when egytpians were picked on in iraq he sent to saddam and warned him,and told him ana haseeb welady fel ''moraba3a''(place where there are many egyptians) since then nobody tried to provoke them..
my dad was in iraq after that period,it was heaven
egypty...eza kan el masry metbahdel fe balado mn 7okomto we msh wa7'ed 7a22o,hayob2a malek fe balad tanya ezay????
