no not really, i make my own cards too, i have thought of selling them an a site like eBay or something but whilst looking into it i noticed that very few actually sell, i think its because you can buy cards for as little as 25p now and i put a lot of time and thought into my cards i didn't think it was worth it.
best of look in finding some where though.xx

Try getting a local gift/card shop to stock them and allow the shop to take a commission on each card sold to test the waters and see how they sell.

Work hard and start a portfolio of your work.

You can check all of the career sites on various greeting card companies. here's one to get you started:
http://www.hallmark.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/article|10001|10051|/HallmarkSite/AboutHallmark/HallmarkCareers/CAREERS_TROVIX_LANDING_PAGE
It has some steps to get you where you need to be.
Don't limit yourself to just one company if you are rejected, try another like American Greeting and others. Don't be discouraged. Persistance may pay off. Check out the card stores for other companies on the backs of the cards and look them up online. Good luck and hope you make it!

Our local post office sells lovely home-made cards so you could try asking at your local branch. You will have to look into the tax implications if your business takes off though.

Good luck :o)

If you know where are the companies, take your cards along and show them. Convince them and get them interested. Encourage them to buy your design and get a good contract.

You'll never compete with the big companies. I make my own for family and friends, but because they are so personal to me I'm sure the big companies wouldn't be interested. But my friends love them.

Here is how to get a job at Hallmark

Meanwhile, you could launch a website or try to get local shops to take your cards on consignment.

If you want to do it on a small basis how about trying craft fairs or if you have a good local shop try and see if they will stock them on a sale or return basis.
Whichever way you go good luck.
