Sun is just one of the stars.... they are grouped from coldest to hottest as O, B, A, F, G, K and M... Sun is a G type star as far as I remember...

On the contrary, there are many things which I find hotter than the sun here on earth... some of them already mentioned, except maybe the baywatch babes ;-)
