Seriously there is nothing like stop celebrating ur birthdate for people who r cheerful and want to make others happy and create a happy atmosphere all around them. Celebrating ur birthday means ur happy for u being alive in this world and with the friends and people besides u who want to celebrate ur special day. When somebody gets bored with their life or start to feel the age creeping on them thats when they start making all these excuses of stoping to celebrate. Tell me in this world there are " n" numbers of party people who throw parties for no particular reason why do u think they r so active in doing so? these people love to flaunt themselves or make other people happy with their happiness.

When u r happy and want ur family and freinds to be happy u indeed celebrate. Certain age means increasing age which tells them that they r ageing and no more young thats the greatest fear or lack of friends in the other fear. I'd say if u r happy and cheerful u'll make the next generation cheerful and happy. Also after u get to be parents u indeed start putting all the importance on ur kids thats when u can say ur desires for celebrating ur birthday can wane off to slight degree but if u think ur celebrating ur birthday will bring smile and happiness on ur kids face along with ur family and friends why not celebrate. Unless only issue is the money spending thing which u truly can't afford.

U can stop celebrating ur birthday even at the age of 10 yrs or never. Choice solely depends on ur mindframe and thoughts.

I didn't stop and i don't think i want to stop ever coz I think it's a time when u really r happy and make others happy.

I just turned 47.
Are you people CRAZY? It is a great time of year to think about all the wonderful things in life. Being alive, to start with.

I think that I will stop celebrating my birthday....say, around....NEVER!

EDIT: By the way, I did almost stop celebrating once...then my beloved wife came and recued me from the dark abyss that was my life, at the time.

The older I become the more I celebrate. When I turned 60 I celebrated all week, by myself and with friends. It took me 5 years to admit to myself when I turned 40. I did not accept being 40 until I was 45.
I am a grandma now, so I do not care.
What's wrong with getting older, everyone does.

I actually forgot my own birthday this year, I always take the day off of work to celebrate it ( by doing nothing ) and I forgot! So I guess when you forget about it that's a good time to stop celebrating.

I'm 38 years old, and I never plan to stop. Anyway, as long as my parents are alive- it won't happen. They make me feel loved anyway- but my dad makes a big event out of all of our birthday's. He says he is so blessed- and that is the day he first got to hold us- talking about me and siblings.
