Incandesent lights have a filiment which is heated by the current flowing through it until it is white hot or nearly so. Most of the energy produced is heat, not light.
A fouecent light passes current through Mercury vapor which gices off ultraviolet light. The inside of the tube is coated with phosphor which give off visible light. Less energy is converted to heat.

A light bulb is a heated filament (of Tungsten) within a vacuum.

A Flourescent light is a gas discharge tube, in which powder is inserted, the gas is applied a charge (i.e. a current) and the gas atoms get excited, pass the current onto the powder which then flouresces producing light.

Power consumed Floresnt less!! a gas light bulbs incandest filament has to hot to make light!!
