does anyone think the celtics are the real deal after winning the first 3 games of the year ??

Let's be realistic--what do you know about any NBA team after three games. Orlando's 4-1, and the last time they started 4-1 in a season, they wound up barely scraping into the playoffs.

However, judging by the WAY Boston is winning, I'm thinking they'll be tough to beat this year. But health is going to play a large factor--I think if one of the big three goes down for a little while, they'll survive, but if Garnett or more than one of the big three are out of commission for any period of time, they're in trouble with their limited bench.

Ultimately though I think this team makes the playoffs and has a chance to go far.

Three games isn't a lot to go on. But it's nice when a veteran team with a lot of new faces can start out like that. You really can't ask for much more, can you?

Probably a better test will be when they lose a game...how do they react? How do they come back in the next game?

If the Celtics can stay healthy, they have an excellent chance of representing the Eastern Conference in the Finals...but it won't be easy..I don't think..

They'll definitely be more fun to watch this year than they've been for the last 15 years, that's for sure!

KG is so dominate, it reminds me of his MVP season. Doesnt Allen look like hes playing Jesus shuttleworth again in "he's got game?" Paul Pierce hasnt been this happy since his freshman year at Kansas.

The bench was the question mark, along with Perk & Rondo. Perkins has no pressure since KG is down there with him..but Perkins sure can block some shots and use his big body. Rondo has done everything he needs to (play d & not turn it over). The bench with Posey,Allen,House - big big big factors. Look out NBA the green are coming!

on the real.im tired of hearin bout the celtics but i cant hate on the truth.that team is a real contender in the eastern conference.do i think they have a real chance in making it to the finals.of course i do.but there only good up to there startin 5.that team is weak after there starters.in the east they're a 1 or 2 seed.but in the west they're a 5 or 6.because they come from the east there chances of winning a championship are good cuz they wont have 2 play the nuggets,suns,mavericks,or the spurs. they'll have 1 hard series in the playoffs b-4 da finals and have 2 win another 1 in the finals.they seem lucky 2 me.but they are a legit team put in a weak conference

They have made a big improvement and has a ticket to the playoffs however it's to soon to book them for the finals. for now i guess so with the big 3 dominating. however, the weak bench that the celtics have also should be taken into consideration. also, during the long run of the season, the big 3 might suffer injuries. when this happens, the replacements is not capble enough to take over their dominance in my opinion.

you can not tell from just 3 games, thats making premature decisions. But from the talent and ability they ahve shown in the way they dominate people, i have not seen that in along time. They look extremely promising, i think they are the real deal definitely. GO CELTICS

well...the season is still young and the celts are still an injury or two away from a few game losing streak.

with that said, if they stay healthy and once they gain more experience together and figure out who will be the bench supposrting cast...i think theyll be fine.

The more this team plays together (they are still getting used to each other) the better they should get so they look pretty promising to me! Already a big improvement over the past few years.
