I have my wifes old discontinued contract orange phone,,
could i get it to work with a pay & go sim card ?

it depends on how old. some old phones have embedded sim cards that will not allow you to change them out. Now this is just in theory, but I would think that if you can put in a new sim card you should run into no problems with doing something like that. Best of luck.
