Most certainly not. I spend a large part of my day on my computer and browsing the net, but still enjoy relaxing with a book in bed before I go to sleep. As someone mentioned, the computer screen does give you a lot of eye strain, and reading is more relaxing.

Internet has not made Books Redundant. There are a whole lot of community who still love to read books. Internet is only a support for books - someting like a backbone. Internet has popularised the use of books. It is a means to provide the surfer for the basic information after which he can ponder over the library in search of books for details. Actually Internet is a means for a person to search and find the best books among others in this whole wide world.

Not yet, because there is still a desire to sit with a book in a quiet corner, and turn pages, and experience that "book" experience. This is something kids learn before they are even able to read -- looking at a book is just a natural human experience.

I say not yet because I suspect that within the next 20 years or so, technology (smart paper) will get to the point where you can have an e-book which is really just a collection of smart paper wirelessly connected to the internet. You could then download any book you want onto the smart paper and read it in the old-fashioned, page turning fashion. When you're done, you'll erase the book and d/l another one.

Nope, you can take a book anywhere. Also, when I stare at a computer screen for a long time, my eyes start to hurt.
