A few years ago I used to live near a big field in the city, so it had roads running round it. they used to have circuses on the field and one day the elephants were crossing the road and my friend had stopped in her car to let them pass, but one sat on the bonnet (hood) of her car and crushed it! She had the kids in the back seat and they were screaming with laughter! Then she had to write a claim to the insurance company! Can you imagine their faces when they got the claim? Damage caused by elephant in the road! In the middle of East London!

Yes, the Police were called. They couldn't stop laughing either! One had to go and sit down and they were on their radio's telling all their buddy's. Jumbo was ok in case you were worried

Speaking of elephants, one year back in the 70's I was living near Dulles Airport outside D.C....my best friend and I were returning from a gal's night out around 3 a.m. and had just turned into the main road to our town [Reston, Va] and what did I see walking down the median but a HUGE African elephant!

Well, now, you have understand we had been imbiding of what the kids 'round these parts used to call 'ignorant oil' - so figuring I was 'seeing things' I said NOTHING. NOR did my friend. I just kept driving! LOL

The next day we both saw on the news where the local 'Exotic Pet-a-Pet Farm' had lost an elephant [later found]....you have no idea how relieved I was to find out I was NOT crazy!

We both laughed at how neither of us had been willing to say we saw an elephant!

I was walking across a field in the dark once and I thought I heard a lion roar, but decided it couldn't be as I was in the middle of Essex, a few days later I read in the local papers that a lion had escaped from a private collection and been safely recaptured.Phew.

That's priceless!! I don't think I have it anymore but there used to be an email circulating with all of the things people wrote on their car insurance claims. Some of them were really hysterical!

Oh, that was funny. It would make a great commercial for an insurance company, since so many of them are using animals these days.

LOL! I'm wondering if they called the police and asked if a sobriety test had been done. What a story!

it is extra of a fact than a question, i think of, yet i admire the thought that we are to blame for our very own sins. It is clever to me that when you consider that I wasn't there to regulate what somebody else grew to become into doing I could desire to be held to blame for what i could desire to administration (myself).

That would be a good one to explain to the insurance agent.
