or is it like a different word.
I see it all the time. They say "oh, I'll prolly do that".
I was trying to imagine how probebly would sound with an American accent and I'm sure they would say "prolly".

Oh, probably, yeah? They have bastardised our language for their own ends. I wish they would call it 'American' instead of 'English'.

I see it spelled like that all the time.

I want to believe that it's just an "internet" way of saying it. Spelling it "prolly" is shorter (by 2 whole letters) and easier (lazy) than spelling it "probably".

However, it's scary to think that some people actually think that "prolly" is the proper way to spell the word.

Then again, there are so many misspellings on here that I'm beginning to think that some people have either never owned a dictionary or have no idea that YA does have spell check.

Never underestimate the intelligence of the people of that nation. As Europeans we can't help looking down our noses at other people of the world, but I can assure you, Americans are nothing at all like the Jerry Springer Show stereotype we have of them. The average Yank is probably (prolly) a lot more sophisticated and better educated than a typical European. It's just that they don't travel as much as we do, and thus, may appear ignorant to the ways of the world. They are extremely well educated though...and generally nice people too.

I don't know why people are too lazy to spell "Probably" as "Prolly" since it's not a word. It's so uneducated of them, all they have to do is use a dictionary.

Lmao, o dear!!

You're moaning about the Amercians and their way of spelling, yet you cant even spell the word you are talking about lol, Next time you wanna cuss them off for spelling things differently to us you should definitely 100% spell check!

I don't know if they believe it or not, but it's a very 'private school girl' way of saying probably, not really said too often by the rest of us! Unless chavs are trying to take it over?

Not sure it is an American thing. It seems more like general illiteracy casued by text language! Very irritating though.
