Ok. first off im 11 weeks pregnant and have had a blood test and urine sample given at about 8 weeks.

I went to doc few days ago regarding an ongoing vaginal infection or issue just regarding an excess discharge. yellowish. sometimes smells bad sometimes not too bad but always a smell.
she did a swab of discharge and urine test. she said to come in in a week for results
She rang me today. the next day. saying to come in today. as they cant discuss on phone she was vaugue she kinda said something about a urine/bladder infection that needs antibiotics. which is crap i think cause its discharge not urinary tract. i asked is thats all thats wrong she said, 'oh i cant discuss anymroe on phone' she then asked if i had burning with the urinating or anything. I said no. said i had to come in tomorrow cause im away.
So i have appointment for tomorrow, but im stressing that its serious. if it was detectable in urine wouldnt the other one showed something. so being a swab.. chlamidia?

It may not even be an std it could be just an infection that needs treating for the sake of the baby. It could just be thrush. Doctors tend not to discuss things over the phone. Don't worry as I'm sure it's nothing serious. Let us know how it goes.

I used to work for a very good gyn. She would give the std news over the phone, and ask where the Pt's pharmacy is so she could get the treatment started right away. Because you are pregnant, things have to go a little bit faster to find and or treat the infection. The baby is her biggest concern right now. There could have been blood in the urine, you might be at the very beginning of a UTI. Don't worry. Sometimes, these things can go on, with no signs then all of a sudden you are hurting, and having all the symptoms she asked you about. It isn't because she is to busy, or trying to make some more money, doctors set aside phone consult time. This is because, she can see your face, and treat you accordingly. Because you are stressed now, you can understand how it might be easy to miss instructions. When she sees you face to face, she can not only make sure you understand the issues, she can give you pamphlets and possibly run another urine test as a recheck. Please don't stress to much. There is nothing that can be done over the phone. Mom's mental health and the health of the baby are her only concerns. The discharge COULD be a mild vaginal infection, but chances are, it is also part of your pregnancy. The odor would indicate an infection, not necessarily and std. There is vaginosis, which is just a simple infection of the vagina, pregnancy causes changes in our pH. This can make it hard for our natural defenses to take care of infections down there.
Just know, that the doctor is doing what he/she thinks is best for you and the baby.
I am so sorry you had to go through that trauma with your ex.

Yes, sometimes there can be limitations to what they can say over the phone. Sometimes it relates to the issue of privacy for why they can't discuss certain things over the phone.

Sometimes they want the lady to come in so that they can do another check of the urine to see how things are going since the last time you came in because of the concern for the baby.

Don't get too worried yet; it might be okay. Maybe they just don't talk over the phone. It might just be an infection and you need a pill. If you go there and you're okay, use this as a chance to realize what could have happened, and ask your doctor how to prevent STD's. Good luck.
PS I'm giving you a symptoms checklist as a guide for you.

Doctors are busy. She couldn't talk because she had other patients waiting.
When test results are positive they usually call rather than have you be uncomfortable for a week.
You are also preggers so best to cure the infection asap before it travels upwards to the uterus.
Think a little before getting paranoid?
