I had a really big pee, and the Ladie's have just one toilet at work, so I rushed it to the Gent's today.
Naturally I used the toilet with a closed door, but when I came out from there I saw two of my co-workers, both male standing by the long wall mounted crib. They were urinating and one was shaking off his ......
Why do men stand next to one another and chat while doing this private thing?
Do they look at one another while exposed like that?

Prude, aren't you. What do you think soldiers do out on the battle field, pop up a pup tent to go pee in? Or guys out on a hike? It is perfectly normal and natural, and a requirement that guys pee, and since every guy does it, nothing special or secretive about it. You just get the urge, go to an appropriate place, whether a urinal or tree, or just on the side of the road, and let it fly. No reason to be self conscious about urination. And guys are all limp when they pee, so there is nothing really there to compare-- all look about the same when flaccid. Of course every guy peeks, just human nature. Nothing to be embarrassed about.

Not sure why you would be commenting on the guys' lack of privacy, considering you obviously invaded the sanctity of the mens room without concern for their embarrassment or their privacy,.

I don't think that most guys do look at each other when they're at the urinals. I don't, though I've had friends talk to me at the same time; its not that weird. I've also seen quite a few women use men's toilets because the line in the womens' was too long, especially during hockey games. Unless another guy's penis was dragging on the ground because it was so long, I seriously doubt that I would even notice.

That long wall mounted crib is called a "urinal".

Chatting breaks the tension of not wishing to be thought of as checking out the other dude's willy.

In my extensive experience, chatting at the urinal rarely if ever occurs between men are aren't acquainted.

Why do we have urinals? Well, have you ever been to a ladies room that was .....used... let me put it that way... nobody wants to sit on the toilet seat do they?

By reason that men can stand to urinate, it's quicker and generally cleaner to piss in the urinal.

Some surreptitious glancing occurs from time to time. Generally speaking though.. seen one, seen them all.

If women could stand, maybe they would be as casual.

I don't know why they do that. I don't have any friends or work at a place that has a urinal anyway, so I can't really relate.

In America we don't look or stare at each others penis, unless it's a gay bar and those guys do that. We just stare at the wall and maybe down at ourselves to make sure everything is ok. We do talk if we know the guy, otherwise it's mouth shut get in do your business and get out.

That's typical & normal. No big deal. I can't imagine that women are ever completely silent when you gals gather in the women's bathroom.
