the same as it was for my grand parents, and other pioneers. candle light, lanterns, reading by fire light from the fire place like lincoln. look back inhistory for your answers.

Darker for one. I think a world with free electricity would be better. You should read up on Nikola Tesla, the man was a super genius.

quiet..... that's what I'd notice most... no hums, click, bells, motor noises, fan whirrings, etc.... went camping this spring and that was the best part!!.... got to hear Nature for a change!.... we could handle the dark part, but the quiet, I'm pretty sure, would get on someone's nerves eventually!!....

It would be like what it was before electricity was found. They be using gas lamps and candles to see and heat themselves.
