My kids told me this today!!! I was surprised - when did this become a rule???

I didn't see it posted at the door of the restaurant -you know

licensed to hold 85 patrons
no smoking
no nose or ear hair plucking!!!

What is going on??? Have my kids started making up their own rules??? where will it end???

Happy Birthday Me!!! LOL

You can do whatever you want - COS IT'S YOUR BIRTHDAY!!!
Woo-hooo!
You can even chew off your toenails and pick your teeth with them if you want!

It was my birthday last week and my family took me to a noice french restaurant where I wore a pirate hat and spilled 2 bottles of wine over the table and burped... but everyone smiled and laughed, even the waiters, cos it was my birthday!

Push your luck - be as disgusting and disgraceful as you want and have fun :) yaaaaaay!

Happy birthday Joe and I'm sorry to be the bringer of bad news but yes, nose and ear plucking is not regarded as good etiquette - bit like turning up in your dirty underwear at the Hilton. its not a rule so much as form dear man.

♥♥♥♥♥ HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOE ♥♥♥♥♥

Well, I can't recall seeing that posted anywhere either, but sometimes you just have to use some good ole' common sense. After all, if you can pluck nose and ear hairs at the table, then why not kick off them work boots, pull off those wet stinky socks, and clip your toenails while you're at it. Surely that'd be okay.

Have a WONDERFUL birthday my friend!!!

Didn't think is was "April Fool's Day" today. Or is it just me?

First of all get your "story" straight. Thought you were talking dinner table????? Now suddenly it's restaurants....posted vs not posted.

You tell me what's going on! Do you believe every thing your kids tell you? Maybe you should set some rules for your kids, like don't be so "discussting."

Give you one thing ... you sure know how to "tell stories"!

Depends on where you are at. In some countries it is considered a compliment to the chef if you belch or fart. Maybe there is some wierd place where plucking unwanted body hair at the table is a compliment. You might want to try National Geographic.

I don't know whether this is a rule or not but I wouldn't like seeing it.
I believe that it is a bit impolite as some people have many rules while eating!!!

P.s if it is your birthday, then I'm wishing you all the best!!

Oh it's Joe. Like Joe Friday of that show Dragnet. It all makes sense now.
Oh to answer your question yes it is very impolite to do that anywhere in view of anybody else. However you can pick boogers from the nose. It's just something you have to do from time to time. Pick those all you need to, doesn't matter where or who you do it in front of.....

It's a lot better than the person smacking their lips when they eat or the person the eats with their mouth open. Our kids came up with one too about scratching and staring.
Yet, our youngest son who is 11, sits there and does James Cagney impersonations.
