I have lived in several states and even though I am no longer there, California is hands down the best state for everything but taxes. No matter what you want to do or where you want to go, it's there. Water, mountains, snow, sunshine, wilderness, big city, scenic byways, forests, pre-historic landmarks, national forests and playgrounds, desert or sea its there and I love it. I just don't think I want to be a year round resident and pay all those taxes. I would rather visit now and go home with my money.

California

Waterski, snowski and surf all in one day.

Weather is also great year round. How can you beat that?

Only other city that I would consider moving to away from here is Chicago. Love that city and have often thought about moving there. However, dealing with all 4 seasons on any given day is to much. I do love the saying: What, don't like the weather? just wait 10 minutes.

Easy ... TEXAS, it's like a whole other country!

(And, it's the only state in the union that can fly their state flag on the same level as the US flag. Every other state must fly their's below).
