No, leaders do not follow, period.

Yes, they should hold them to their decision and those who backed the decision in the first place should not expect to be able to throw the brakes or, turn around and use the unpopular ramifications of their original decision for political purposes. It only proves that they themselves are dishonest and lack all integrity.

He is the leader not just because he makes a decision backed b a vast majority....he also feels as they do regarding a particular topic and that is why he is chosen to be their leader. He therefore runs for office such as president of the united states. After he is elected he can then change his mind but the people wouldn't be happy and might revolt. But, since he wanted the same as them in the first place he is not apt to change his ideas. However, he might be put in the position of the masses changing their collective mind and be forced to submit to their ideas....however, with Ron Paul we the masses KNOW that he will NOT deviate from the Constitution of the United States and therefore he is a safe leader. Vote for Ron Paul for President 2008 - the Hope of America. The bravest candidate!!!!!!!!!!!! The candidate with the wisdom of our Constitution and he is just the doctor to health this country.
