Hello,

I was just wondering if there are any Asians out there who like the movie "Breakfast at Tiffany's" , in spite of it being racist.

Any one?
Is it a movie you can watch again and again?

This is a question I want to keep an eye on. I often wonder about how Asians feel about Mickey Rooney's performance in "Breakfast at Tiffany's". It's difficult for me to enjoy it because of that unfortunate role. I still recall seeing that scene in "Dragon" in which Bruce Lee and his wife have gone to see this movie. While she's laughing, she suddenly senses his discomfort; basically, she's having her consciousness raised long before the "Politically Correct" movement came along.

I simply cannot laugh at those portions of film. Even when I was much younger, it seemed somehow cruel to me because I was a fan of James Shigeta, Patrick Adiarte, James Hong, Beulah Quo, Nancy Kwan, Jack Soo and other Asian/Asian-American actors. I recall thinking wondering why Mickey Rooney was playing that role, making it seem like a cartoon.
