Did someone mention Food Processor? OK, I will attempt to compose myself, and try to calm down, before I begin to Hyper-ventilate.....
Sorry, no can do...Ahhhhhh! Congratulations! I am one jealous Mum....maybe it's time to consider an upgrade myself. IAfter all, it IS my B'day on the 12th Nov. It can be a pressie from my Kids LOL!
I STILL have my Mum's old Orange, late 70's style blender (yes I said Orange -Yuk!) Furthermore, I'm convinced it has a mind of it's own.....With a broken lid, it sporadically pops off (more often than not...), spewing food all over Kitchen floor like a Volcano. I've gotten into the habit of standing a couple of meter's back, as soon as I flick the "on" switch. I think you can guess why! (-:
I'm a sucker for Kitchen appliances......... especially the electrical kind. Cappochino makers, Kettles, Toasters...you name it.
I'll even get worked up over a Place mat. But, only because their great to put your appliances on. They accent, and draw attention to your appliances displayed on the Kitchen bench.
I draw the line at Coasters though. Nobody ever uses them. Not big enough to put my kitchenware on anyway.( :
The last time I got to jump up and down with excitement, was when I brought home my Stainless Steel Can Opener last year. The novelties worn off now though.... ) :
Home made french fries (yum-mo....) and THINLY sliced carrots? Are you serious? How versatile. No more chunks of carrot, varying in size, and decidedly odd in appearance. People are bound to think your a Pro Girl! (((:
What model, shape, size, color is it? Is it Stainless Steel, Ceramic, Patterned or Plastic? Come on, please don't leave me hanging here.... You brought it up, so pleeaassee elaborate...the suspense is driving me up the wall!
Mentioning the word driving makes me think that operating Kitchen machinery (may sound weird), is not unlike driving a car...The sound it makes as you change speed, is like changing the gears in a car......The sense of power as I rev the engine (or appliance motor) the exhilaration of simply being in control (i.e pressing the buttons, operating the speed or whatever else these modern contraptions now have)
Look, here's an idea. I'm sure things are hectic, and time is tight (you are a Mummy!) SO, how 'bout I come around to your house some time. That way, I can see this ultra-modern, Multi purpose Dream machine of yours for myself!
Don't worry, I wouldn't dream of doing the whole "Guest" thing, watching YOU slave away in the Kitchen making MY dinner. Inviting myself over and then expecting a cooked meal ? -That's just plain rude. Allow me!
I'LL do the cooking, no buts about it. You can relax for a change, put your feet up, rock on to your favorite tunes, or have a Bubble Bath in peace. I'll even watch the Kids for you, and convince your Hubby to clean the gutters, mow the grass or whatever else he's been "meaning" to get around to doing....(a Man thing I guess (-:)
I bet it takes pride of place on your Kitchen bench....You probably can't help but to go out of your way to walk past it, looking at it with admiration, just as you would with a new Bubby. And I'm guessing you'd have a dish-cloth on hand, to wipe away any smudges or marks that may detract from it's shine, and "newness".
You are defiantly not alone on this one! It IS absolutely Super-exciting, pure exhilaration even!!! (-: Now, where did I put that catalog....?

Jack la lanne power juicer, been an ornament since I got it and a candy floss maker which spurts sugar all over the kitchen when used so I have banned it from use, a chocolate fountain and a sandwich maker!
