For friends and family it's more a question of what would be something memorable and special you could give? Is there something unique that fits the person's personality?

As for the amount to spend, that depends more on your budget and what you can afford to give more than anything else. A good rule of thumb for that is to use 10% of your earnings for gifts.

If you want to make money the measure of equality in the gift giving, simply divide the number of people you are buying for into the amount of money you have available.

If the uniqueness is more important to you, create a minimum you will spend on each based on less than the divided amount you came up with. Then spend different amounts when needed for unique gifts.

I have 4 children - all adults so I spend around £20 on each and £10 on their partners and children each. We also have little presents on the tree for boxing day around £1 each person - I am a pensioner so it all takes a bit of working out over the year - I do quite a bit of ebaying to make sure they are getting something they want

It depends on who the gift is for. I figure my total Christmas present budget, and how many people I need to buy presents for. Then I figure from there about how much I want to spend on each of the people. To me, Christmas presents for kids are more important than the ones for adults. We spend a lot more on our little girl than we do on our grown sisters and brothers, for instance. Adults can buy what they want, but kids make out lists for Santa and wait with great anticipation to see what Santa will bring them.

buy each of them the book called MORE THAN A CARPENTER.
Its all about Jesus and how do we determine if he was really God or was he telling a big lie or was he insane. That book deals with those questions and common theories about his ressurection..

So yeah, you can get a package with 6 books for 18 dollars 21 give or take with tax.
but thats 6 gifts. for about 20 dollars.

Well that is if you really celebrate Christmas for CHRIST and not just for stupid tradition. People pleasing crap bonanza.
