Hi guys! I just wanted to ask if we can burry the hatches on answers. I think we all get worked up over something we can't really influence ourselves as civilians. Lets just agree to disagree and move on!
What I am asking for is this: No more provocative questions on either side (I have asked one myself)
And if by any chance there is a FYROM in one of the Greeks answers - we don't react with attacking and changing the context of whatever the question was! And you guys don't attack us - if we write to some completely different issues that we are from Macedonia.
We need a compromise on both sides to make this work!
Do you guys on both sides agree?

Ahh there we go - and I almost thought we can work something out - so we keep it out of Answers!!! Amazona - I am not talking foreign policy here - I am talking about Answers! I gave you the only solution in which we would stop fighting. Unfortunately I see it is hard for you to be diplomatic! What a pity - I guess the war continues! Before whoever answers again - please read the question first so you know I am also asking my people to compromise!!!! I am not begging anyone here for anything! Just proposing a way to move beyond all of this! It seems hopeless so far!

We (Greeks) are not the ones getting in your section, or in Greek section, to attack you. If you get in the greek section and post irrelevant questions (the subject is Greek travel; mentioning another country and related issues is therefore irrelevant) this is simply for reasons of provocation Thus, you can't expect us to move on, while you don't. If you write something completely different , as you say, we don't attack anyone, but when you mention this subject we are in defense, because you are doing it on purpose.

Unfortunately it doesn't seem possible.
There are many fake accounts with only purpose to attack and provoke. (and unfortunately many are Slav-Macedonian accounts)
Remember that FYROM is the UN name and it is the name that (Slavic)Macedonia is recognized in all international organizations.
FYROM is not a name forced by Greece but a compromise forced by UN!!
We don't like it either.
But since (Slavic)Macedonia signed the UN agreement they have to follow it like Greece follow it!
Unless (Slavic)Macedonia considers its signature as not important.
I personally don't use term FYROM or Skopia (Skopia is the Greek form of Skopje and that is how is used, it is not a new name and it is not said in an insulting way since here in Greece we offer refer to a country with its capital!!!).
I use the term (Slavic)Macedonia or (Slavic/Albanian)Macedonia (the doesn't mean that Slavs are Albanians but there are Slav citizens and Albanian citizens, and the country is government by a coalition between Slav and Albanian political parties).
But are the Slav-Macedonians ready to stop insulting the Greeks?? Just count how many provocative questions have appeared in the Greek section in the last 2 weeks!!!!! (and most of them from a fake accounts controlled by 1-2 users!! They think we haven’t understand them???)
And a lot with arguments that are either unhistorical, imaginative or simply lies!!!!
You have to realize that when someone claims Alexander the Great as a
non Greek-Macedonian, for the Greeks this is an act of war!
Can you understand how we feel???
Because for some reason it seems that you only care for how you feel!
When we see that all historical, cultural, archaeological, anthropological evidence are completely ignored how do you think we feel??
Although the Government of (Slavic)Macedonia has stated in many occasions that they are not connected to Alexander the great and
Greek-Macedonia the subject still appears from a lot!
I have seen Slav-Macedonians claiming Ancient Macedon, Greek gods, Greek culture, Aristotle, Alexander, Achilles, Homer and even heroes from the Greek revolution as being Slav-Macedonians.
How do you expect us to react?
(as for the asker : Good effort though! Notice that I have never asked any provocative question! I have never even asked any real question about the subject but I am nearly ready to reconsider! )

After reading the first 3 answers I believe that even you (Marija B) have allready regreted for asking this question.
You and all macedonians here are making a noble proposition to stop this stupid fight, and they are thinking about this proposal as a sign of our weakness! That's not a weakness that's what a great people do: forgive and forget!
But with your answers (like that 3 up) you are constantly remiding us that you don't deserve to be forgiven and forgoten for all the misdoings and harms that you have done to us. We will never give up our name MACEDONIA. Our forefathers were Macedonians, we are Macedonians and our grandchildren will be Macedonians!

its the people from your country that continuously post provokative questions
and of course we are going to answer and that will not stop untill people from your country stop posting such questions
so why are you reffering to Greeks on answers?
you should ask your compatriots to stop beeing provokative
and not for the Greeks to stop answering provokative questions

We are absolutely willing to "bury the hatchet" with you.
Under one condition: Forget the name Macedonia form your new country, not even "Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia" or anything that hints you are connected with the history of Macedonia, and we'll put it all behind us.
Deal??
Oh, yeah, before I forget: Also forget entering any Greek area, here or in Greece, then we can talk peace...deal?
